I'll say its unnecessary - lol, though not for the same reason I bet.
We could argue about what the tooth fairy's wings looked like?
Who gives a damn? I don't care what anybody's imaginary friend can be said to look like.

What a question! Are you serious, or you are probing for ignorant reaction and stupid responses? Below, please find some points:
1. Man has not developed until he invented writing. Letters, words, etc. are Man's reservoirs for knowledge to be passed over from one generation to another.
2. Without reading we would not know of what happened, know of our past mistakes so that we won't repeat them. Also wisdom won't be passed over to the recent generation.
3. Writing and reading are instruments; common sources open for anybody to take what he needs. Reading is one way that makes a difference.
4. Reading widens your prospective and opens your eyes to different facts and points of view, and may show you whether you are on the right track or the wrong one.
5. a) Abraham was a reader, so was Moses, Jesus. The first verse that was revealed to Muhammad was "Read in the name of thy Lord who created". b) Socrates was a reader, so was Newton and Einstein. The first man on the moon was a reader, so were the people who sent him to the moon.
And the list goes on and on.
Only ignorant people argue as they do not know how to reason. Their minds are feeble and their horizon narrow. They do not know better as they have not exposed themselves to different opinions.
Educated people reason, or more likely they do.
As for God, whether He is a man, a woman, both, or none, nobody knows. It is one of those questions which may be one day we will be able to resolve. Existence or non-existence of the third gender has nothing to do with it.
As far as Judaism and Christianity are concerned, God is referred to as masculine, may be because the human society then was man-dominated society. Therefore, God revealed Himself as masculine, though He might not be, just for people to perceive His might.
Why do we have to let duality dominate our thinking: Black and white, good and bad, masculine and feminine? Could there be a third thing, may be fourth or fifth? I wonder!
Definitely, you will understand God better, if you read about cultures. Since the dawn of humanity, God, or Gods, existed in human societies, including pangenetic societies. People of different cultures may approach or look at God from a different angle. Isn't it better to look at God from all angles available? Wouldn't this enrich your intellect and soul as well?
People who do not recommend knowledge of other cultures are narrow minded, arrogant, self-centered and scared. They are scared that they may find other cultures are better than theirs.
I hope I have answered your question.

Everything can be comprehended better by learning additional languages. Language is just an overlay, it is not absolute and it is not accurate.
For instance English has the statement "you hurt my feelings" - others to not and it is therefore a foreign concept that one person has direct access to the feelings of another. Our language constructs this notion, but it need not exist.

Yes, i read and read and read, it is always good to read other view points, for your personal growth, and understanding. We all get the idea of god only through the interpretation of men who wrote all the nonsense of about religion, if you see religions are all about men being superior, hence they painted God to be superior. God is more than what is painted in religious texts, so go ahead and read, knowledge is enlightenment.

That seems kind of silly
English has a neutral pronoun too... "it"
English technically has all the genders of any other language, but most of it's nouns are neuter.

I want to know why the muslims who hate us so much are shamelessly coming into our lands. Since the muslims hate us to the core and wants to kill non muslims especially the Jews and Christians, why are they coming to America?
Qur’an 8:60 “Infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends.”
Bukhari [4:52:177]: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him!"
Why don't they just stuff themselves into bags and send their filthy arrses back to their problematic and turbulent ISLAMIC countries instead of coming here and forcing their problems on us?
Should America and the other secular non muslim countries make the islamic refugees dump their religion? After all, it is their islamic regime that is causing them problems and they are escaping from it. So strictly speaking, they should dump what they're running away from. Otherwise, why should we let them into our wonderful land as their escape from their jungles and deserts from their tyrannical islamic brethrens??? Or are they only here to pass us their sickening religion and filth? Are we paying with our blood because we opened our doors to them?
Or are ALL muslims shameless?
