If I were overseas I think it would be great to recieve mail from back home. I'd like to help out. And let the US troops know that I support and appriciate them. Does anyone know of a good organization where I can do this?

I second soldiersangels.org. I've been doing it for three years now and it's truly brought me incredible joy and happiness. Some of the guys and girls I've corresponded with have become true friends. Some of them I never head back from, but that's okay, too. I know they appreciated the mail.

To adopt a soldier through Soldiers' Angels, you commit to sending one care package a month (at least) and one letter a week during your hero's deployment (usually 6 months to a year). If you're looking for more of a one-time thing, you could try anysoldier.com.

Have fun! I promise, it'll be the best thing you'll ever do. You'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner!
