Ever since i was little, i'm 14 now, i've walked on my toes. It's caused my ankle to be in pain ALOT, and where there is supposed to be a little bump underneath your ankle, mine is double the size because I think one of my bones moved from toe walking. I've gone to the doctor about this before, and I was supposed to get X-rays, but my parents said they didn't want me to get it. But latley my ankle has been in so much pain. And I've tried to walk normaly, but I can't for very long. My moms friend had the same thing, so he got his achilles tendon stretched, and it helped him. But I don't want to go through with that. So is there anything I can do?

You should attend a doctor and do what ever he says to try and correct your problem. Continuing walking like this as you get older will lead to even more problems, joint and spinal.
I cannot believe that your parents allowed this to go on for so long and not want you to get some help.
Ask them for support to attend specialists etc to help with your problem, stressing how much pain you are in at the moment. There will probably be some discomfort for you before it gets better, but as it is who knows what pain you may face as time goes on.
Hopefully there will be some help out there for you.

you should see your doctor again. you may need to have an MRI or x-ray to make sure your growth plates are ok. and STOP walking on your toes. my niece did the same thing and by the time she was 10 she couldn't even bend her feet forward. she had to have physical therapy to help stretch the tendons. if you don't take care of it now you could end up walking like the Tin Man. it's not a matter to dismiss, tell your parents that you are in pain. Good Luck

The muscle and bone structure of our feet & ankles are made so that we walk on the entire sole of our feet. Because you have been walking on your toes for so long, you are literally re-creating the structure of those muscles and bones. In time it is going to become very painful for you to walk, and you could even end up causing a torn tendon.

you can try stretching the achilles tendon but if you are 14 so much shrinkage and damage has already occured and surgury may be the only option. This is a thing that should have been treated when you first learned to walk.

Why not ask your doctor to recommend a good physical therapist who can give you some exercises to stretch the tendons correctly? He may also recommend a splint for you. This is going to be painful, but worth the effort. I think exercise will be your best bet. Godloveya.
