Yes it is. They set their churches in the same style as cults. Like a pyramid religion. Find out who the leader is.
I was in calvary chappel for 12 months. kicked out for asking too many questions. Lived with the pastors daughter and husband. The main pastor had bank accounts for his kids (adult married kids). Not many in the church knew where their money was going. The daughter was nice and she has left her fathers church also now. Church had about 800 - 1000 people

Counterfeit Christianity is probably the best description I can give for a cult. Counterfeit Christianity is an imitation of real Christianity. Bible terms like "Jesus Christ, Resurrection, Salvation, and Atonement" are used by the Cult, but the various cult groups have assigned entirely different meanings to these terms.
Like counterfeit money which is sometimes difficult to detect, so it is difficult to detect counterfeit Christianity, since it looks like the real thing. Experts examining counterfeit money often hold it up to a strong light and look for identifying marks. Counterfeit Christianity also has identifying marks, which can be seen when, held up to an even stronger light, the light of God's word, the bible.
We are at an advantage if we know what to expect from a cult. Cultists are very well trained to appear "Christian", and indeed believe they are the true churches, and you need the deliverance! Therefore, be bold and ask the question, "do you believe the group you represent is the only true church on the face of the earth?"
If they reply that they are, or if they are evasive, making remarks like "Well, every church has a measure of truth but...", you have made an early detection of a Cultist.
Every true Christian, if asked the same question, regardless of his denomination, would reply that the true church is comprised of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and HE (not some organization) is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, (John 14:6). No legitimate denomination would claim that they alone and their members have salvation exclusively, but the cults (the counterfeits) do.

No direct evidence here, but here are some questions to ask yourself.
1. Is there any forcefull action there, do they make you do things forcefully or do they give you the options.
2. Is there a supreme earthly leader who claims a direct connection with a diety.
3. Do they come up with new revelations / doctrine whenever they feel like.
I don't always agree with the Calvary Chapel, but as far as I know they are not a cult. They just try to get people to follow the Bible the eay they interpret it. Which is not the way I interpret it

Here is a resource that can help you figure it out. It works for all religious groups.
Don't listen to the people who say all religions are cults. They are NOT, under the common American definition of the word.

I want to know why the muslims who hate us so much are shamelessly coming into our lands. Since the muslims hate us to the core and wants to kill non muslims especially the Jews and Christians, why are they coming to America?
Qur’an 8:60 “Infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends.”
Bukhari [4:52:177]: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him!"
Why don't they just stuff themselves into bags and send their filthy arrses back to their problematic and turbulent ISLAMIC countries instead of coming here and forcing their problems on us?
Should America and the other secular non muslim countries make the islamic refugees dump their religion? After all, it is their islamic regime that is causing them problems and they are escaping from it. So strictly speaking, they should dump what they're running away from. Otherwise, why should we let them into our wonderful land as their escape from their jungles and deserts from their tyrannical islamic brethrens??? Or are they only here to pass us their sickening religion and filth? Are we paying with our blood because we opened our doors to them?
Or are ALL muslims shameless?
