LUKE6:27-36.thought for today.
27."But i say to you who hear;Love your enemies,do good to those who hate you,
28."bless those who curse you ,and pray for those who spitefully use you.
29."TO him who strikes you on one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not with hold your tunic either.
30."Give to every one who asks of you.And from him who takes away your goodsdo not ask them back.
31."And just as you want men to do to you ,you also do to them like wise.
32."But if u love those who loves you ,what credit is that to you?For even sinners love them those who love them.
33."And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you ?For even sinners do the same.
34."And if you lend to those from whom you hope to recieve back, what credit is that to you ?For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.
35."BUT LOVE YOUR ENEMIES,DO GOOD ,AND LEND,HOPING FOR NOTHING IN RETURN;and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Highest. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
36."Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

i know this is very difficult to practice in daily life but after reading peoples views on this output about christ, christianity, and some times how people are so inconsiderate in speaking about GOD and at times so repulsive.;i feel sorry for them i now also have started to pray for such people.i hope they find a true meaning in life better than making obscene remarks, using bad language, and wasting there precious life without a well defined purpose for others and for themselves..and who knows might end up doing something good for mankind.
God Bless.

This is my FAVORITE verse in the whole Bible.
Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. KJV.
Proverbs 18:24 There are "friends" who pretend to be friends, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Living Bible.

I have a lot of verses that I love but I'll supply one of them for you.

Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

OK, maybe two :o)

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

It's rather rude to ask for non-participation from those people who believe themselves to be outside the teachings of Christianity... it isn't very Christ-like, is it? Perhaps you ought to recall the "do unto others" rule in the future.

I understand that you are possibly wishing to avoid the likelihood of bashing by others who are intolerant of your beliefs, but this is one of the risks of a public forum. You should perhaps learn to take it all in stride, or better yet, consider it for its real worth.

Anyhow... good hunting for a favorite verse.

"Yet the Lord pleads with you still. Ask where the good road is,
the godly paths you used to walk in, in the days of long ago.
Travel there, and you will find rest for your soul.” Jeremiah 6:16

There are so many that come to mind, but I suppose if I had to pick just one, it would be Proverbs 3:5,6 : "Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways take notice of Him and He Himself will make your paths straight."

When Jesus spoke of our need for food, He pointed to the birds, and said, "They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" (Matthew 6:26). That doesn't mean we get what we need by doing nothing. Birds must scratch and search for food. The point is, they don't worry about it

Romans 8 -
here's some of my fave snippets out of the chapter.
...the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death...
14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."
17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
... If God is for us, who can be against us?
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Especially that last part!!
