How do I say this at the counter without sounding too stupid?
Its an exacta: If I think the 1 OR the 2 will win but I want others numbers as the second horse (along with the 1 $ 2).
It would be like 1/234 AND 2/134, but can I say, "key the 1 AND 2 over the 1234? Or do I have to make 2 seperate bets? Does that make sense?

I think you would say 1 whirl.

This will give you an exacta with 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, etc.

@dollar bet Exacta box 1/2 with 3and 4.
Unless you are confident that 1 and 2 are going to come in first and second then just say @ dollar exacta 1/2.
