NOPE! just cement your brackets to the surface of your teeth. it does hurt though the first day...but not because of a shot or because of the cement. the thing that hurts is the new brackets rubbing on your lips and cheeks. it also is a little uncomfortable because they start the process of moving your teeth... but not unbearable...just take care of them.

- No, they do not. There is no reason that they would need to. They apply a special type of dental glue to each of your teeth, and then place the brackets. There is no work being done on the gums whatsoever. Oh, for the record, dental shots hurt a TON LESS than normal shots.

No, not when I got them 30 years ago, times may have changed, it really did not hurt, so I do not think you have a single thing to worry about.

Nope! They just put some glue on your teeth, then harden it when they put the brackets on. It dosent hurt when they put them on.
