You might wanna confront mother nature. I have seen cheese amish make (feild trip). Even there it is yellow just not as yellow. Thirs was kinda white-yellow. With everything that is put into our food i bet a dye is added. Maybe sunlight has to do with it. Intresting though.

Not all cheese is yellow actually. The color originally came from the fat content of the milk used to make cheese. Different fat levels meant different color. There are also different additives used in making cheese that effect this as well. Today sometimes color is added to make the product more appealing to consumers.

Most cheeses are naturally the same color as milk, only a little darker. American cheese companies add food coloring to make their cheese's more yellow or orange because off-white/grey colors are not as appealing visually as brighter colors.

Most cheese is sort of "off-white" because that's the colour of moldy milk, which is what cheese is. But in America, cheesemakers often put yellow dye in the cheese to make it a "prettier" color...

yup like long wht ever said... heres a bit in detail, which u might study in biochem and further physics......... u know cheese is made up of milk, animal fat and protein... we use yeast to curdle it.... now in milk u find lactose... these three things lactose, fat and yiest (yiest being 1 ppm or less) set up such a amorhous unit (sort of crystal cube) which refract ligth... so that only light of certain frequency is absorbed (in this case yellow, red, orange.,) all other frequencies are relected (green, blue violet ect), now the deepth of yeallowines in cheese depend how much protien and fat preseent in cheese... while the orange tels how thick (condensed) and old (better curdled up) and fat got conveted in to its constituent molecules.................
