its for my science prodject and my question is to do research on is which battery last longer

Some batteries are designed to last longer in high drain situations, others have been made to last long when the current draw is small. There are many that work well in intermittent use. You could vary the load and see which ones work well in different situations.

It depends on what you mean by lasts longer. A Li-Ion battery has the most capacity, about 3 times the capacity of a NiCad. This means it will run a device 3 times longer between charges than a NiCad battery will. However, a NiCad battery is good for 1000 charge/discharge cycles of treated correctly. A Li-Ion is only good for around 400 charge/discharge cycles. A NiCad battery has cadmium in it, which is nasty and has to be treated as a hazardous material. A Li-Ion has no hazardous material in it. So there are many aspects that need to be weighed in your question.

Well ion lithium batteries are known to last long so theres ur answer. compare it with some duracell alkaline batteries and your done.
