A microwave and a toaster are two things I never could have lived without. Plus dishes, silverware, tupperware, pots and pans. Try shopping at a second- hand store for some of your stuff. That would save you some money and then you could save the rest of the money for things that you forgot.

vacuum
mop
toilet brush/cleaner
soap
dishwasher soap
sponges
towels for bathing/washcloths etc
shampoo, personal hygeine items

radio
microwave
toaster
pots and pans
utencils
plates
stuff to fill your fridge and pantry (food, spices, salt and pepper, butter, etc.)
Glad storage bags, tin foil, etc.

Somebody else asked the same thing the other day, and here are the things I suggested:) Don't forget a toolbox full of a few things you will definately need, and will come in handy! A hammer, screw drivers, pliers, a measuring tape, duct tape, super glue, a small level, and assorted nails and screws for hanging your pictures & curtains and fixing the little stuff:) You'll be surprise how often this stuff will come in handy! Congrats on your new place!

go to consignment shops and look for lamps, tables and possibly sofa and chairs. You don't have to start out with new stuff right off the bat. Sometimes in the paper under used mdse you can find some really good buys just check it out to make sure it is in good condition.

Mention to family members and friends that you are starting out, have limited resources, and are trying to figure out where to spend them.. discuss dishes, silverware, bed, bedding, dresser, household appliances, etc.. I lot of people have attics, garages and cabinets full of items that were just too good to throw away, that they would be happy to give away to someone who needs them. Collect these cast offs and then decide where you need to spend those limited funds. Good luck!

shower curtain, rings to put it up with, pots pans, forks.. Think about what kinds of things your mother had to make life comportable and then buy it.. Oh and it pays to shop at the dollar store for things you need right now.. And you get alot of bang for your buck..

Congraduations on the move and have fun getting the house together!!..
