Do not be paranoid!
Wednesday is a Good day for the extractions. It gives you ample time to heal before work/school on Monday if you follow your Doctors orders.
Do not smoke or use a straw for 3-5 days. Do not drink carbonated beverages for 3-5 days. Do not eat hard/crunchy foods for a week. When you rinse your mouth, every 3-4 hours, do it gently with warm salt water.
Do not listen to the Horror Stories!!
That only happens to the people that do not follow the Dr.s guidelines!
You can eat soup, mashed potatoes, soft meat loaf, mashed potatoes, OK you get it, for 2-3 days . Then, just be smart until you heal all the way.

My sister had hers surgically removed a month ago, and i can fill you in on what to expect. 1: You're face will look like a chip munk, but don't be scared, it will go down in about a week. 2: You won't want to eat. My sister lost 10 pounds when she got hers out. 3: Jell-O will be your best friend. My sis ate through package after package of Jell-O. 4: Stay in bed for at least 10 days. If not you can get an infection, and have to go through the whole thing again.
Hope this Helps!!!

Your dentist will go over all of that with you on Wed. both of my boys had their teeth out with little or no problems. You will be given a prescription for pain killers, any instructed to rince your mouth for a few days. Have some soft foods such as puddings, applesauce, ice cream etc. on hand as you shouldn't chew hard foods for a few days. You will be fine.
Please DON'T stay in bed for days on end you don't want to end up with complications caused by inactivity.

One thing I learned from a dentist: if the sockets bleed excessively after you get home, take a Lipton Tea bag, dampen it, roll it up, and put it on the gums over the sockets. It acts as an astringent, and will really help stop the bleeding. And there's no pain from it, either.
Good luck!

if it makes you feel better, i didnt feel any pain at all - during or after the procedure. hopefully you wont either...i did drink a lot of smoothies though. it's not too good to get food in the sockets, especially if you can't brush your back teeth for a few days :-\

Be sure to wash the area out often to avoid infection. Also, try to avoid "sharp" foods, like chips or Tostitos, as they could possibly cut your mouth. Ice cream and popsicles are the best option.
