Why are they do rude? I mean, I was just reading someone's post about a passage in Leviticus and everyone that didn't believe in the Bible or God was absolutely rude. I mean, if I want to make a statement, I try and get others to join my line of thinking...these people were just down right rude (could not possibly get anyone to listen)?

I'm sure Christians aren't the only people who know how to act nicely and behave...but why is it that those against Christianity feel as though they have to be hateful in order to speak about it?

Wow...a lot of you are going crazy! I am a Christian, but I don't pretend to be perfect! Never have and I never will, I am not nor Can I ever be perfect...

I am just trying to figure out why people have to respond so rudely. I mean, there are several that responded to this question rudely. I am not telling you you are going to Hell, only God can decide that. I just want to know why I've noticed such anger?!?!

I know what you mean, but not all atheists are rude so we should be careful not to generalize them. Not all Christians have very good manners either. Its something we all need to work on.

i totally agree with you
im christian but not over religous
but i dont see how people
cannot respect other peopls opinions
and get so angry over something
they dont believe in right?!
i think that they should all just state
thier opinion in a nice manner
or not say anything at all
common sense, weither your godly or not
you dont have to be mean to everyone
to sound like a hardass because you dont believe in jesus

so i give you your props
to post this question
knowing youd probably get mostly
negetive answers, but there are some people
who arent totally idiots and can be nice
just for the simple fact of being human.

To go to Hell alone? Does this thought frighten you?
Well luckily for you, you won't be alone. The majority

in this case do you want to be the majority or the minority?
You'll all be holding hands crying in extreme pain with each

Are you kidding me? I am a gnostic christian and i have met a lot of rude people who call themselves Christians. Those are the ones that tell everyone they are going to hell and everyone is sinners! It has nothing to do with religion whether a person is rude or not it is their personality or their up bringing. You are going got get rude people whether they are religious or not.

I read the same thing and had to bite my tongue. People just think that their religion is right even though they don't do the research to back up what they say. Many other religions speak of hatred which is why so many talk the way they do. and f.y.i . people out there in yahoo land christians preach the word of GOD because it is said many many times that you will be judged by your fruit..."every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into fire"... "wherefore by their fuits ye shall know them."Not everyone that siath unto me. Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Jesus is coming back and will be taking his people with him...but "Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Christians just want people to accept Jesus into their life thats all, you don't have to be rude if you think differently. No religion is going to tell you to judge other people, and even if you are an atheist you know that condemning other people for what they believe is wrong, so keep your nasty comments to yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, and you are not being rude to us by insinuating that Christians are above us and actually act nice. When many of them are hateful, especially on here.

"...I try and get others to join my line of thinking.."
Is that just a reprogrammed Christian thing?

P.S. You have your beliefs, and unless you have underlying doubts about it that you can't get out of your head, why do you care what those other people think? The world is not set up so you personally won't be offended ever, sorry. They have just as much right to post their opinions (even negative ones...) as the Christians enjoy the freedom to express theirs. What, you don't think we have any opinion of all the rude crap we are told? As if.

Sorry, but are you new here? The questions from Christians here come in five general varieties:

1. Thinly veiled, snarky proselytizing ("Don't evolutionists know that they will burn in the fires of Hell?")

2. Questions asked as if all the answerers are Christian ("What was your last prayer to Jesus?")

3. Attacks on other faiths and atheism, and gross generalizations ("Why do Pagans worship Satan?")

4. Pretended knowledge - calling something the truth when you can't provide non-Biblical proof ("Why won't you accept the reality of Jesus Christ?")

5. Attempts to suggest that Christians are being persecuted or discriminated against ("Why is no longer okay to say 'Merry Christmas?'")

Only occasionally do we see neutrally worded, honest questions from Christians about Christianity.

I'm not saying Christians are the only ones who do this, of course. But they're hardly blameless.

Luke 21:12-19 says "But before any of this happens, they'll arrest you, hunt you down, and drag you to court and jail. It will go from bad to worse, dog-eat-dog, everyone at your throat because you carry my name. You'll end up on the witness stand, called to testify. Make up your mind right now not to worry about it. I'll give you the words and wisdom that will reduce all your accusers to stammers and stutters.
"You'll even be turned in by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends. Some of you will be killed. There's no telling who will hate you because of me. Even so, every detail of your body and soul—even the hairs of your head!—is in my care; nothing of you will be lost. Staying with it—that's what is required. Stay with it to the end. You won't be sorry; you'll be saved. "

Just because people are atheists doesn't mean they are rude, it's just that those who are not following Christ and are living by the standards of moral relativism have no moral standards as Christians have been commanded to "love your neighbor as yourself" "love your enemies" and such. Although no Christian is perfect, those who truly love the Lord will abide by these standards.

Jesus said that others will hate you because of Him. It's not that they hate you, or are being rude to YOU they are being rude to God, and hating HIM. The Lord said that a life with him will not be easy, but he did say that you will never ever be alone.

In every group, you will find a few jackasses. They are usually the more vocal ones, and that is why you might find some vocal athiest jackasses on Yahoo! Answers. Don't worry, though, because the Yahoo! Censorship Nazis will delete their post and give them a Violation Notice.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that most people don't like to be preached at by people of different faiths...When you pull out the bible to condemn someone as that question did, how can you expect a kind response? That question was dig at homosexuals...My first response to something like that is what 2 consenting adults do in their bedroom is no one's business...

Sweetie, I'm not sure what you were calling rude. I didn't (in a quick perusal) see anyone calling someone else names or putting anyone else down.

If someone is upset by the passage, then what do you expect them to do? Say thank you? You assume we are all Christians and will respect the Bible, but there are many things in that awful book that don't deserve any respect.
