I'm not sure what religion I am, there's so many...

I believe that all the sincere religions, ancient and present, are worshipping the same God just in different beliefs that were created by man. We came from the same being afterall, but when we populated and became diverse the concept of God became so many different things. Maybe we're all wrong?

Figure out your basic beliefs first, and then look for the religion that matches. People would be much happier if they did this, and there would be MANY fewer Christians!

I was given a religion by my parents as a child. I read a lot of the Bible between the ages of 11 and 13 and didn't like what I read. I especially didn't like the part where it said you must hate this life in order to be a member of the Christian community. To a child filled with the vitality of youth and awe at the wonder of the world this is anathema. I also couldn't understand what "faith" meant as given in Hebrews 11:1. This seemed to say if you had faith about something it was true. That to me meant that faith can prove any thing. I decided to become a chemist and studied for the profession. I didn't seriously question my given faith until I was about 30,

That was when I thoroughly realized otherChristian faiths didn't accept me as a Christian when I told them what religion I had been baptized into. Upon further investigation I found there were many "faiths" all believing they alone knew the right way. I now know there are at least 33,820 seperate and distinct Christian denominations. I was a church goer for a long time but as my understanding of my work expanded had a lot of doubts about the Christian faith. I eventually stopped attending churches.

My religion now is not atheist or even agnostic but is something which fully satisfies me. It is a belief that acknowledges some conscious entity much bigger than all humans but proffesses to know very little about it. What I do know I have garnered from science and other humans. I feel very comfortable about saying of God, "I don't know!" I think like you, that maybe all religions are wrong except in acknowledging a being bigger than we are.

I don't belong to a religion. Religion is an organization, spirituality is seeking enlightnement/salvation/whatever you want to call it. I follow the path that feels most right to me, and I do my best not to allow anyone else's beliefs intrude upon my own decisions. I have experienced things which would cause some to convert to a particular religion...experiences that have caused me to consider becoming both christian (at one time) and wiccan (at another time). I've since come to realize that labels are a mortal affectation needed only by those who need the security of a group. I need no such security. Mind you, I am not belitlling other's beliefs. I acknowledge that I may be full of it, but I BELIEVE that I am on the right path. And that path is so very interesting. It combines aspects and teachings from every religion I have ever studied, including, but not limited to, Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Wicca, Druidism, Islam, Shamanism, and plain old philosophy.

I'm Southern Baptist. Some have many gods like a woman's body and an elephants head, and another with many arms, yet others call Him Allah which certainly is not Biblical, and God Almighty doesn't promise me virgins if I go down as a martyr, and another is a big fat guy sitting with his legs crossed, and some think if they eat a part of their relatives they will inherit they're talents, and some believe they will be born again and again and again. and in all this chaos (another lesser god) there is the One God Almighty. He created the universe and everything in it. He is pure love and He says we should love also. He sent His Spirit to be with us if we choose and He sent His only Son to die for our sins. We can be with Him by the simple act of accepting Jesus Christ, our Savior, as our Messiah. Simple as that! We are forgiven our sins by doing this and our whole lifestyle will change by doing this. His Bible was written by men who He chose to write it and it is a book of history of the lineage of Jesus and how he is related even all the way back to the very first man. Then His Son, who is really God Almighty in human form, taught us how to live until our time to be with Him comes. It’s not an easy task at all. It takes a lot of guidance from God’s Holy Spirit and even then we fall short of what should be. Still, God, being the loving Father that He is, understands, and forgives us our sins. No, as some Atheist claim, we don’t like to sin because we know we will be forgiven, we really do not want to sin but we are week. He knows this because Satan temps us continually but has no power over us at all. What we do is of our own choosing and not Satan’s. We don’t have to sin, but being human we do and always will. Our Father knows all about the temptations we go through. Jesus even was sweating blood because of temptations. But he didn’t give in as we do, but we know He understands and we can and will keep trying. God Bless.

I did not choose a religion.
I chose Jesus Christ.
religion "per se" is of very little importance.
what is important is YOUR personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
don't get hung up on "religion".
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Creation is God expressing Himself.
Which makes life the one true religion
above all other Faiths.
Sometimes, people seek more assurance
than we're meant to have.
We can only know this for sure: if we
exist, then we're possible.

I chose Islam because it is the religion which has solution to problems dealing with spirituality and the earthly problems we're stuck in. Above all, Islam is the strictest monotheistic faith in the whole world.

Religion will send you to hell...however a relationship with Jesus is what God requires.

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6)
