In which case, DVD is preferable. However, if you're using a low resolution TV, the VHS would be preferable based on price alone. However, the problem with it is it degrades, unlike a DVD.

get a dvd participant from a save and not out of a cereal container and don't keep discs in a stack or the place crud can get on them. try quickly forwarding or rewinding a tape and then use a similar function on a CD/DVD. I by no skill had to rewind a DVD or CD. Or fish one out of a device that ate it.

DVD's have better picture quality and last longer VHS.

Even though VCR tends to degrade at a faster rate then a DVD I would love to see someone try to bend the cassette in half as easy as you can bend a DVD and break it. Plus, DVD's can be scratched quite easily.

i prefer the dvd player because it can record things. just like the vcr

There are pros and cons with both, but I prefer DVD's.
