Its usually the way you are laying.. and anytime you get the white little lines.. mine are usually under the buttocks.. its because you have a fold in the skin.. and that part is not exposed to the tanning bed.. so its not going to tan :)

The pressure of laying on your back and butt, causes the flesh to "squish' together...which leaves little or no exposure to the light. I have some junk in the trunk and I generally get lines around the curves at the inside bottom of my cheeks...my husband says they look like smile lines.
To get rid of it, you need to move your position in the bed every 3 minutes or so. My problem is I always fall asleep in the tanning bed....thankfully they use timers!!!

I ran a tanning salon for years, and it sounds to me like you're laying on a pressure point (tailbone). You can also get them on your shoulder blades. If the bed is big enough, try laying on your stomach for half the tan time, or goto a stand up bed.

Try to lie flatter in the tanning bed so the light hits every part of your skin.

Try a stand up bed. I used to have the same problem too. Good luck.

Dont go to tanning beds! Its bad for you! :)
It's probably sweat collecting at your crack or are you even wearing underwear? Underwear causes LINES :)
