This is for Mormons. Think open minded for a minute and please answer my questions. I try to ask these questions your guys on bikes, but they tend to beat around the bush. Okay,
1. Do you really beleive that there is more than one god and that one day you will become your own god with your own planet? Why and why don't you tell this to the people you witness to?
2. The book of mormon was only translated less than 200 years ago. It claims to have been translated one character at a time by john smith with his stone and looking in to his hat. You know who long that would take?
3. The book of mormon has been revised over 4000 times, and not for grammer either. One example, in early versions of the book of mormon, it taught that people with dark skin were cursted. In recent times dark skinned people are accepted and are part of the congregation. How can you change something that was said less than 200 years ago and was said to have been directly from god.
Thanks

1. We believe there is only one God, who is the Creator of the Universe and who is the spiritual Father to each of us and the Father of Jesus Christ. We believe we can progress and become like our Heavenly Father, but we will never be equal to or greater then Him, as His glory is endless. If we do succeed in this life we will have the opportunity to continue to progress ourselves and with our spouses, having children, thus being godlike/gods. This is straight and purely honest. Doesn't seem wierd to me, but then I'm Mormon. Additionally, I am and was always clear and forward about this when I testify. The issue is that people often need a foundation before getting to this topic, because without a foundation it is much more difficult to understand (sort of like learning algebra without first learning addition).

2. The Bible also alleges the Earth was created in 6 days. With God all things are possible. Moses parted the Red Sea and brought forth water from a stone. I think translating a book in 6 weeks isn't beyond the power of God.

3. This is just a silly argument. The "content" of the Book of Mormon has never changed. What you discuss about the color of skin being a curse was not removed from the Book of Mormon. "Dark skinned people" were always accepted in the Mormon church and were a part of the congregation. The Mormons have always been strong advocates for equal rights - one of the reasons they were ran out of town was because of their strong voice for rights of the Black people. When Joseph Smith ran for President one of his main things was abolishing slavery. The only thing that is difficult to understand is why the Black people weren't allowed to have the priesthood until 1978. There is no clear reasoning, other then the time wasn't right. That is a hard issue, but there were times in the history of religion that things just didn't make sense and certain groups were precluded from doing various activities (like the levites were the only holders of the priesthood of aaron in the Bible).

I guess you would have to believe God has not shut His people off, and continues to care for us, to believe in the Mormon church. If you believe God spoke to people in the Bible, and answers prayers and speaks to people today, then the Mormon church isn't that hard conceive (even if you don't believe it).

I have studied hundreds of religions with an open mind (learning from them and their scriptures and trying to put myself in their shoes) and I always come back to the Mormon faith. It just makes logical sense to me. On top of that, I do believe God answers prayers and He has answered mind. I can't deny His answers.

Good luck.
