Affidavits, how important are they in a motion to supress hearing? And who signs them? What happens if it is not signed by the appropriate people? Give me examples, please?

I'm a notary. Affidavits not only have to be signed, but notarized as well. If they are not signed, they are not legal. The people on the document sign the affidavit. It could be the other side that signs.
