December 2005 I first joined yahoo answers.
I was the first person to have an account suspended.
I spent four hours a day at work doing answers. That number has come down cause my boss now gives me work instead of making me wait till a 1pm phone call to talk to me to say what are you working on knowing I had nothing,
Back then, there were only 12 or 15 regular users, we all answered each others questions. If you wanted to talk to someone off answers in messenger you had to ask a question to them to get their IM.

Now I invented Jim Darwin in February 2006. I came to the religious section about that time.

There were only 4 or 5 other atheists, and we were friends,

then in march there were about 10 to 20 new ones, we bonded,

I've bonded with most the non-theists here, and some of the theists.

Point is, thats why I come back, to meet new people and chat with old ones.

I came here because i like to chat about religion on the net.
No i'm not hooked and probably will not stay, this place is filled with people who are not serious, not that that is a bad thing but it gets a bit old, to me.

I don't know why i come back, wishful thinking maybe.

Hi Cat. I came here in July under a different name, stayed a few and returned for good in September. At one time I would have answered your question by saying that I was looking to gain some insight into human nature. That might have been true then, at least I thought it was. Now, I'd have to say I came here to learn a thing or two about myself. It's been an interesting education, one filled with laughter and tears. I wouldn't change a moment of it. I stay here because it's comfortable.

This is one question I MUST answer--I don't know!
I have never been addicted to anything--Oh yes, cigarettes
in my youth. But there is something about this site that
keep beconing--I think they put voo doo on it. Why would
any sane person sit up until 1 A.M. and stare at this screen
just to find out if there's a question she has not seen.....
REALLY DUMB! I can't tell you why, maybe I am just so
"puffed up" that I think I have the one important answer
someone may need. I think I am very egotistical. But here
I sit anyway.

I didn't know I'd get hooked and if I had I never would have come here in the first place! I got sucked in and now can't get out.

By accident. If not, you are meant for God to worship him. You are to be another one in the assembly in heaven unless you deny him. This is not a question of coming back. None of us exists before we are born respectively. Where do you get such a thing as reincarnation. You believe it then you are hooked.

I enjoy the practice of answering questions about the faith in which I belong, music, art, writing, and American Indian history. Often, I run into questions that stump me, but also challenge me to research the answers.

Then again, there are many questions on this forum that I wouldn't bother reading because of the level of intellect they lack.

Although this forum is addictive, it can also be informative and motivational to give the best answer possible.

There are some great people here and I enjoy discussing with them a topic that I am very interested in. Also, I'm one of the younger ones here, and most people are older than me and know much more than me, so I have the opportunity to learn a lot here.

I don't even remember how I found this place. But, yes, I am hooked. I can't believe the LAZY people that come here...too lazy to look something up on the Internet. Then there's the inbred morons with their NON-questions; 'questioning' just to be smart alecs. And the children who make filthy, smart alec answers so they can think they are being funny. But hey, it beats some of the chat rooms I used to go to, and the lame REALITY shows on TV.
