What are some simple steps or creative ideas that people can take to combat illegal immigration?

Reading about not only the jobs they are taking away from Americans. But also the effect that they are having on ALL levels of education, (Why does an Illegal not have to pay out of state tuition?), Health Care, and the Criminal Justice System. More Americans were killed by Illegal immgrates than by Terrorism in the last 5 years. So what can we do about it?

We can support the Minutemen or send Congress members like Tancredo what we want to do and how we want to do it. Illegals do the low-waged jobs because the employers are too concerned about their profits. We can also put any employer that hires illegals in the slammer and have them pay a fat and juicy fine. If somebody offers me a job that illegals usually do (when i come back), I'll take the job. I'm for free market but not capitalism because if illegals do unwanted jobs, it's like as if they're slaves. Remember to also vote for any Presidential and Congressional candidate in 08 that favors stopping illegal immigration (Tancredo, Hunter, Paul, etc.) because you can count on it that illegal immigration will be the important issue of the 08 election.

Government is getting taxes up front state and local communities are absorbing the health care. It is getting complicated and I think I have missed more than I mentioned. The Idea I have is to demand by law that all our workers have health care and the employee must pay something including co-pays,Tax refunds paid only to citizens and filling for five years before an attempt for citizenship is made. The people of this country should buy as many products as we can from foreign countries to encourage their economy and make their life better. I do not see a way to eliminate all tariff charges to imports if you trade with us it should be equal. The class struggle is the biggest issue. I do not feel inclined to sneak into Mexico. It is just not that safe for an American. I do not know where you have found the fact that illegal immigrants are killing more than terrorist but the residency issue has a lot to do with Identification and it is for sale from the TV I've been watching.

Write you Reps and Senators, write the White House, write Nancy Pelosi. Let them know you are fed up with this BS.
BE energetic about how you feel. Let them know we are mad as heck and arn't going to take it anymore!

That's about all you can really do legally. Don't eat Mexican food. Stay away from people who you think are illegals if you can do such a thing. Have responsible conversations with others around you with facts and figures concerning immigration/illlegal and otherwise. Get other folks thinking about such an issue. Support comes out of the corners sometimes. I have noticed that Amer. are so busy trying to pay their bills, they miss out on other kinda important stuff, thinking our Fed and State folks are going to do a good job. Not! They need guidance and direction and we need to pounce on them when issues like this come up.
We can't complain unless we are bitching about it and they still do nothing effective.

I personally have come to the conclusion that ALL immigration should be backed off to pre 1965 levels. We have too many people in our country now. It's a temporary thing but it needs to be cut back for a bit. Then, once all our faculties are in oreder again, we can admit more LEGALLY. Currently we let in a million a year. That doubles our population every 10 years. x 4 by 2030. We can hardly handle what we have now!

Help to make Mexico a great place to stay for folks. You can build the biggest fence, deport every last illegal, etc. but it's not going to keep them out if we have what they want.

How about catch all of them, and have them pay for the services they stole, and was paid by our American tax dollars, before, we kick their as-sses out of the US.

How? The US should intercept all of the monies that the illegals are wiring to Mexico. The frikin Mexican government practically give illegals, a few step by step lessons on how to enter the US illegally and send money home. They bring 100's of billions a year from the US to Mexico, courtesy of American businesses, they should go to jail too.

Can you imagine that sh-it well they destabilize our US economy, they strengthening Mexico's, by sending their share of taxes to Mexico.

As people come to USA, they add value to US economy. Specially research. almost 80% of Imigrants are highly educated and well qualified. The do reseach in US laboratories and do some good thing for present and future generation.

As India, I do wish to remember Mr. Khurana who got the Nobel price in medicin while working in USA. Late Ms. Kalpana Chawla or Ms. Sunita Williams are present day examples of Good immigrants. Major part of USA medical work force as well as IT, are indians at least top most cadre. One of My friends uncle gave US$10 Million donation to Univercity in Florida.

and USA is capitalist market where quality is the main criteria for success. So i would like to urge all prod citizenms of USA that you have to work hard for your country. You have to get good education. and Counter the inflow of the hard working work force.

USA is the country of Dreams. Whatever you dream, you will get it. but for that you have to do lot of hard work. you must have honesty, ethics in your nature.

If a Illitrate India can establish a flourishing bussinesses there and make a US$10 million money in a year, why can't the well educated people of USA do. In our Gujarat state, we have a region called "Charotar". and let me tell you there is atleast one person in every family is inside the USA. They go illigally paying almost US$1 million to get there. for that they can sell their land, property. and after reaching there, they can able to send almost US$1 million within 8 to 10 months. They almost work for 10-16 hours daily. and after five years, they are the owner of Motels, restaurant or any business.

So behind any success, there is greate hardwork. So don't blame immigrants. Don't think negative and Think Positive.

The Americans get the success if they know their dream and how to fulfill it.
