Well, I don't know you, at all, but I will do my best to help you to interpret your dream.
A father, or your father in this case can represent, a person who teaches the laws of life -or- a need for security, order, authority & achievement.
The fact that he was missing could mean, just that. That “he” is the cause of your missing those above needs or that those things: security, order, authority & achievement are missing in general with no real association to your father.
A stone is representative of something tough or durable. Which could mean that you with the aid of your friends are finding yourself tougher or more durable, to the loss of security, order, authority & achievement! The fact that is had a hole in it could be something phallic or more likely associated with the "father gone missing" thing. My book says that a hole can mean: A mystical place of death & rebirth. The fact that the stone was illuminated; glowing as you put, it is interesting. Light is representative of consciousness as well as hope & joy. So finding that stone or that “durability” of yourself must be a positive thing for you...like you said bringing yourself closer to your goal of finding your missing father.
The fact that you are finding the stones in different places could just mean exactly that. That you find strength, durability & toughness as well as a consciousness in many places, going hand in had with death & rebirth, or loss & regeneration…
I can’t say for sure what was symbolic & what was literal, because I do not know your personal life or circumstances. So I hope what I interpreted you can associate within your own life. Well hope I was even a bit helpful. Try keeping a dream journal, and get a good book on dream symbols.

The dream is about fear of loss, and you're love for Pringles. I suggest telling your father that you love him, if you still can. If you can't, realize that he already knows this anyways. And finally, stock up on Pringles, because they really are divine food. And they are available at many locations, including 7Eleven.
