Very specific question you are asking. Religion was similar to today's internet - both were vessels for knowledge. There was a back and forth of culture and knowledge between China, Korea, and Japan. Evidence of the transfer of culture from Korea to Japan can be seen in the pottery highly popular in Korea which shows up in Japan. The buddhist monks who went to Japan from Korea helped educated the Japanese of confucianism. I'm not sure what else you want to know.

Sorry I don't have any good first-hand info off the top of my head. But I remember if you go to wikipedia, there's a really really lengthy article on Korean Buddhism, and there's probably stuff about that there.

Hope that helps!
