I had strep a few months back and it hurts to drink or swallow. I would try things that she likes that are soft. Pudding, Popsicles, jello, tofu, pb and j and add different textures as you go along. My thought is that she is affard to eat because of when she was sick. Good Luck and Hugs

"Food therapy"? That's a new one on me. I can't say absolutely, but, I believe that once kids learn how to eat, whether it be in using a fork or spoon, or in chewing, they never forget. It's the ol' "once you learn how to ride a bike you never forget" idea. But I could be wrong. As one of the respondents said, don't worry about it; just be patient with her. If she refuses to eat, maybe she still has a sore throat, in which case liquids may be better for her, but nothing acidic. And don't give her anything cold; that will aggravate a sore throat.

first start off by giving her junk food. not necessarly that but something that you normally dont buy for her that she LOVES. and tell her that if she eats breakfeast lunch and dinner then she can ahve that specail treat for desert.when she gets into the habbit of eating again, dont let her have it much any more. tell her that she has a surprise waiting for her after dinner for dessert. make it something she likes but thats not too bad for you.

Honey for what this is worth. I always worried about my daughter who is not grown not eating. Her doctor told me years ago not to worry about it because no matter what they eat they get more than kids in foreign countries. Raising kids is life without parole, but so worth it.
