Ugh...yeah...

Um...is changing glasses every 6 months good or bad? Like, if you change the lenses and frame for your glasses every 6 months, will this improve your vision or will the eyes just get worse? Please help me! Thanks!

Do you mean like prescription glasses? As in you have an exam every 6 months and getting new glasses? I would think that would be very good for your eyes as they'd never have to strain. If your eyes change enough to neccessitate a change every 6 months, I say go for it. My prescription is good for 1 year.

Glasses are to be used whenever you need them to see better.
They have no effect on the eyes.
Glasses can correct your vision WHILE you are wearing them but they do not prevent progression of vision loss or worsen vision long-term. So it makes sense to change glasses only when you are not seeing well with your current pair. Or whenever you find a great new frame that you can afford and cannot resist :-)

i have has glasses a long time, although most of the time i wear contacts. when i first git them people told me the more i wear them the less i will need them. not true. more i wore them the more i needed them. i just hated how much less i saw with out them. after about 2 and a half years i got contacts.
for normal problems you just need to update once a year. actually you need an exam once a year......and you might not need to upgrade to new glasses.
you should just ask your doctor for best opinion on this.
and if you don't like glasses you should really think about contacts. they will cost around the same on a yearly basis.
i have a condition wear i need special lenses, but they hurt me when i wear them, so i just wear normal soft lenses. but if i did wear my special lenses the doctor told me if i took care of the i can wear them close to 10 years, because that is how often my vision will change, give or take 2 years.
And just one more not, not all girls look ugly with glasses. i think some girls look more sexy with glasses.

for those of us who wear glasses, having to change can be a hassel. depending on your age, health, and vision changes over time. usually every 2 years on average untill your vision changes level otf;then as needed. glasses are only intended to help our eyes see more clearly and/ help remedy nearsightedness or farsightedness. amblyopia or "lazy eye" is a different situation as are other eye conditions caused by genetics, injury, disease etc. all vision changes over time, glasses that help you see more clearly don't worsen the eyes. you may want to ask another eye doctor for his/ her opinion on such frequent changes, and whether they're necessary for you.

Unless your eye doc, says to do it, most prescriptions are good for one to two years.
