Ooh come on... that won't make sense to them and you know it.

They'll just scream "heresy, Christian persecution, infidel condemnation" and move on.

First of all too many people have no understanding of Christianity and speak out of ignorance. Why judge something that you know nothing about or become offended by someone who chooses not to believe. Too many people in this world share too many bad traits both Christians and atheist alike. True Christianity is about loving your fellow man, doing what is good and just in service to your fellow man, loving a God that loves you back so much that He gave His life and only wants the best for each and everyone.... whether you believe or not. It's about Love people.... get it together.

I do not believe that I have ever said that I would pray for anyone who was a Non-Christian. But I suppose that if you are praying it comes closer to GOD than the standard Atheist. Have a great evening!

This was my answer to a different question,
but it seems to apply here as well.
In my opinion we Christians believe that God's standards are so far above
human standards of conduct that ALL of us are condemned for our sins.
The belief is that there is only one salvation...sort of like only one working
anti-dote for a poison we all have eaten. It does not bring pleasure to
know that someone else cannot be convinced to take the only
working anti-dote.
That's just one way to put it, but it's the first way that comes to mind.

I can't answer for "Christians", but I can answer as one believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

That isn't equal. All your life you've invited your friends to play along with you at your favorite games. In a sense you were telling them to like that game because you liked that game. It's not a bad thing. Just bring it to a Spiritual level. Since I've met the Creator of the universe and He has done miraculous things in my life, I would like to introduce you to Him as well. Especially since He said He will do similar things in your life.

I can't force you to meet my Savior. I can't push you into a relationship. I can only introduce you. The rest is up to you.

Actually, I do pray for that. Every day I pray to the Goddess that Christians will turn away from their angry, violent deity and embrace the Great Mother as we did thousands of years ago.

It must be working; Paganism is the fastest growing religion in America.

People disagree with me all the time. I don't obsess about it and troll around Yahoo! Answers trying to start arguments. It's your hatred that ruling your life, not "the Christians".
Believe what you want, but don't delude yourself into thinking you are the protector of reason. Your just as irrational as anybody else.

I would shrug my shoulders. You can pray any way you like.

I never tell non-Christians I am praying for them, unless I have good reason to believe they will be positive about it. A lot of people would be very offended by such a statement, and I don't blame them!

I would think they were very rude and offensive not only to me but also in the eyes of God! God wants us all to come to him, to worship him, to love him, and to try our best to follow in his path to glory. How we choose to do that is between us and God. The religious path we choose is a very private decision made between us and Our Lord. I do not mind having religious discussions with people in other religions than my own but I will not tolerate someone of another religion attempting to make it as though theirs is the only way and if I do not follow I will go to HELL! God made us with minds, brains and the constant ability to think, change and grow on our own. If he wanted us all to be carbon copies, follow only one group, and do everything exactly the same that is exactly the way he would have set it up. God does not send people to HELL because you think they didn't pick the right religious group to be in. However when he sees a bunch of young people going to church and lifting their hands, hearts and souls up to him in prayer he might show some concern for those out there who would turn to them and tell them they are all going to HELL because they are not worshiping as they do or in the place they do.
