I see a lot of people that try to discredit the bible and think that they find clever verses concerning the old testament. Did you know that the Old Testament deals primarily with the nation Israel and alot of the ways God did things then and with the nation Israel are not to be applied to the believer in Christ nowadays. Over and over I see people using the few references to witches being burned and slavery and Hitler and murdering the innocent. Concerning hell, you have the choice in that matter, dont blame God. Please anyone please show me in the New Testament where the believer in Christ is told to act in that way, if no one can show me any proof of these things then you cannot condemn Christ for this or what the word of God teaches but it is in fact a sinful man with an evil heart acting this out. Any believer in Christ that has truly accepted Christ and is mature in his faith will not act out any of these wrong things. Please someone show me wrong, and not your opinion.

The Bible was written by the Crab People. They had to set the people right or they would have all died by the hands of the wicked Lord Cannabinol that lived somewhere around the river Delta 9. Back in the day, Crab people walked the earth with a different point of view than Humans, for this they were rewarded with plentiful pictures of hot babes in bras. The humans saw this and also wanted these pictures of hot babes wearing hot bras and stuff. So they tried seeing at the same level as crab people but this was a hard thing to do so they wrote the directions down in this book, It was called The Bible of Hot Bra Babes. Over the years, These people started Seeing higher than the level of the Crab people, this was because the wicked Lord Cannabinol put a spell on the humans, Some kind of spell mixed with a little Tetra Hydro. The Bible was re-written with new points of view and stuff and kept being changed and changed and changed. Soon the humans weren't able to see the pictures of Hot Bra Babes anymore so they launched a big war against The Crab People because their ways were no longer working. The Crab People were defeated and The Great Book, formerly known as The Bible of Hot Bra Babes, became just The Bible. With a name like this, people quickly began to lose interest in it fast. Now days, pics of pretty hot bra babes are just hard to find, unless you have the internet. I have given up, given up on humanity. Crab people had the answer. Can't we go back to those days?

It does seem that a lot of people can not separate the two testaments.
While it is true that the Old Testament deals with God's attempts to reconcile Israel and Himself there are still valuable lessons to be learned in its pages.
As a preacher, writer and Evangelist i feel that the two testaments go together and actually compliment one another.
I find it so sad that the Old Testament is rejected by so many just because they can not find Jesus anywhere within it's writings.
I assure you a better understanding of the New Testament comes from an understanding of the Old Testament.

You say concerning Hell, that we have a choice in the matter. While that is technically true, the "choice" Jehovah is offering is akin to the "choice" an armed robber gives you when he says, "Your money, or your life!" - Obviously, you'd give him the money, but not of your own free decision but out of cohersion! If the robber took your money and was caught, he wouldn't be allowed to argue in court that you gave him the money of your own free will, because he pointed a gun to your head! That's just what Jehovah (or YHVH, if you prefer) is doing: pointing the 'gun' of Hell at us and threatening to pull the trigger if we don't worship Him... Frankly, I'd rather fry in Hell than submit to such an arrogant, self-serving deity!!!

So you are saying that killing people in the old time was ok but it is not now, that it was ok for God to be curel to the Jews but not to Christians. Does that mean that God changed or that he didn't really like the Jews?
