Okay me and my family just recently moved into a new place last October. Anyways about two months ago we started to hear knocks on the wall when we were in bed. The sort of knocks that you don't know where they are coming from. Also one night I woke up to something that pinched my toe. A few nights later my wife got up from the couch to use the downstairs restroom and something pinched her butt. Quite funny until what happened today. My sister-in-law and family are visiting, well when she was upstairs she passed one of the childrens room and seen a shadowy figure moving in the room. Anyways I told her about previous things that happened. I am not shook up, but I am quite curious as to what might be going on. I really don't believe in ghosts. Any info besides sarcasm would be appreciated. Thanks!

The Bible(God's Word) teaches that when a person dies, our soul leaves the body and goes to either Heaven or Hell. Then at the Second Coming of Christ, Jesus will cause our bodies to resurrect and our souls to go back into our bodies and our bodies will be trasformed into eternal bodies and then will be the Final Judgement. The idea of ghosts haunting places is unbiblical. www.equip.org

If yoy "really don't believe in ghosts," why did you ask "A Haunting?"....?

Is the house brand new (just barely built)? That may explain the knocking. Maybe it's just settling.... and that can happen in an older home, as well.

But about the pinching (pun intended!), do you have kids? just a speculation... The only other explanation is that you've got a ghost. A mischevious one, at that.

If it really becomes a problem and you want to get rid of it, all you have to do is address the ghost/spirit. "Hey, Spirit..." Then ask it to go- "This is my home, and you are no longer welcome." If you still have problems with Casper pinching toes/butts, same thing, but command it to leave, something like, "Spirit- This is my home. I am the authority here, you do not. You are no longer welcome here. You do not have a right to be here, and I command you to leave my home now."

Whatever you say, say it like you mean it. That should do the trick. The spirit will acknowledge your authority over the things that happen in your own home.

I grew up in a haunted house, so I know things that that exist and can make life quite interesting. We used to have lights go on and off, blinds and go up and down, the temperature would change really fast from warm to cold and then back to warm, we would hear knocking too, and what sounded to me like whispering. I think his favorite thing was to try and scare me and my sister. We shared a room, and he liked to move the closet doors back and forth, open the windows. He really liked to do that in the middle of the winter. One night, there was a scratching noise that I thought was a mouse in the wall, but then it went from scratching to louder scraping and then to knocking. It was kinda freaky. He never really bothered any of us physically, but it was a little unnerving. For some reason, when I had friends over, he was quiet. I don't know if he didn't like other people, or just didn't want others to know he was there.

We found out that he was a guy that owned the land our house was built on. He died and left the land to his family, with orders not to sell it for x amount of years. Well, the sons got together and decided to sell it to devolpers before the time was up, so I think he was mad about that. We had the land blessed and he went away.

I also had a friend whose house was haunted. She had a more physical type haunting. This one would slap and pinch and one time it scratched her little brother. He was only about 7 months or so old, and the scratches were on his belly, so the baby couldn't have done it to himself. But I was there one time, and I just felt funny, like the hairs on the back of my neck kept standing up, and I kept feeling cold and like someone was staring at me. I went to go the bathroom, and glanced into one of the bedrooms. There was a figure pacing back and forth from the bed to the wall and back. It freaked me out, and needless to say, I didn't go anywhere alone in that house. I told them they needed to have the house blessed, but they didn't believe in that, and weren't religious at all. I don't know if they ever got it taken care of, but we moved shortly after that, and I lost touch with her.

If you believe what you heard your sis-in-law said, and you believe that a blessing of your house would work, then try it. Just for your peace of mind. If you don't mind it, then tell it that you want it to leave you alone, that it's dead and it needs to go to God. Sometimes this works, sometimes not. Whatever you decide, just believe that it's real and it really can't hurt you. Ghosts can cause a lot of emotional drama, but they usually won't mess with you too much.. Good luck!!!

new houses are hard to get used to and yes they will carry their little ghosts ...
but as you have noticed it is nothing to fear
usually there is no contact as it isn't a conscious energy , just residual remaining energy
but this sounds more like a playful spirit than ghost
a new addition to the family i think lol
