The Waltons. It was a show about a family from the perspective of the eldest son, whose name was John, like his father. (hence, Johnboy). He lived with his two sisters and a brother, mum and dad and grandparents. At the end of each show someone would be saying goodnight to someone else until all the people in the family had been wished a goodnight. Inevitably someone would say 'goodnight Johnboy'.
