If a guy asks a girl mate out who does not fancy him, esp if a best mate. Why does she stop being friends?

Why not say I like you but just mates and keep it like that.? Accepting the complimnet.

Why stop being mates and treat the guy like dirt, stopping phoning him or answering calls and taking mates with her and treating the guy like dirt.

Whilst guys if they find out just care for mate and have confidence boosted, still want to be mates and help find their mate a new guy to be into so mate not sad .

Also when girls often do this or turn guys down harsely...

Why then do they wonder or complain that guys dont ask them out?

Why not help him get over you by helping set him up with other girls or give him pulling tips and when going out help him pull somone else?

Thus reverting relationship back to as it was now boy mate is now with someone else?

Also any idea the amount of damage this does guys when it occurs over and over...

You wonder why guys only want to have sex. Well maybe thats as thats what happens if they allow themself to feel.

Only get hurt and loose best mates till have no mates.

Then see little point in trying to go with anoyt one and if they find somone they like it does not matter if they think the girl may like him as the others didn't...

Simply repress the feelings best they can so cease feeling to avoid pain and maybe end up with hookers for sex and girls as mates and try best not to loose mates by showing any feeling...

Thing with that is when a girl genuinely likes him... loose out.

Also that repeatily is likely to turn somone suicidal and kill any confidence they had.

Why not instead help him pull others or ask his mates to get him laid or do a lap dance bar round etc.

I think it's not that they want to be mean or don't like you as a friend anymore. It's just now it's kind of awkward. Maybe she thinks back on things and in hindsight sees how you felt about her and it's kind of hard to get used to.

I would think in time she might be able to be friends again. The friendship will be different though.

I hope she doesn't let the awkwardness last too long. You need all the friends you can get in this world.

Shes obvoiusly not a very nice person after all then and you are better off without her as a friend or anything else.
Not all girls act like this! Me and my friend are still best friends after an incident like that, it just took us to keep on making an effort, it would have been so easy to just avoid each other, but then we would have missed out on the friendship then. Now we go out all the time as friends and eye up potential dates for each other!

Some girls just freak out and do the wrong thing. Maybe you should let her know that your relationship doesn't have to change? I don't know. Girls are really weird sometimes. I am a girl and I can't figure girls out half the time. They can freak out over nothing and there's nothing you can do about it. Sorry that that isn't very helpful.

It's hard to just be friends with someone who likes you as more than a friend. I know that I wouldn't be rude or mean when they asked me out but I would feel uncomfortable being friends with them. I would feel bad when I would go out with other guys and I would just feel guilty. I would constantly be worring about if I was hurting his feelings. I don't think it's the nicest thing, to stop being friends with them but it is the easiest.

Being a just a friend and a girl friend really are two different things... first she saw u as a friend then suddenly u want her to be ur gal friend... mind u now u want to know her better than before and she is really not comfortable with that... that's just how gals see things. It wont be that easy to regain the friendship again.. the thinking that hey... this friend of mine wanted to c me naked oops'''. just be patient with her she will get over that feeling.. she just needs tyme.. gud luck

Usually the girl starts to feel betrayed as the show of friendship from you could have been a ruse to get her pants off. Its simple really. Betrayal of trust.

it just makes the relationship feel weird because then she will think that the guy still likes her as more than a friend. it would just be an awkward position for the girl.
