If you're looking for white, go for a Chenin Blanc, Scuppernong/Muscadine (also called Moscato), or Riesling. If you're looking for a red, Gamay Beaujolais is less dry than most other reds, and if you're looking for really cheap but still flavorful, go for the Reunite Lambrusco (a college favorite of mine, due to serious lack of coin back then).
Cheers!

I'm a big fan of Rieslings. I prefer the drier Alsatian ones, but the sweeter German ones are often quite good, too. Careful, though, you may get hooked and wind up spending big bucks on the Eisweins to get the extreme version.
