Im not talking about just being gay, I'm talk about two women or two men raising an adopted child. This question isn't for people to rag on gays because they're people too and don't deserve to be treated like crap. I just want to know what God thinks about it.

Of COURSE gays are people too, and not to be "ragged" on; but is it ragging to state what the Word of God has to say? Because I don't think we can properly address the issue of two homosexuals raising a child unless we look at what God says about homosexuality. (His Words, NOT mine).

9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians chapter 6)

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. (Leviticus 20:13)

Now that we see what the Lord's views on homosexuality are and that they're carried forth right through to the new testament, let's look at it through the eyes of an innocent child.

Imagine the ostracism the child will endure, (and please don't insult me by saying they won't have to endure any)! Children nowadays suffer from enough peer pressure that we ourselves never experienced growing up even 20yrs ago, and add having to explain your 2 dads (or moms) to that ever growing list of hardships. And it's not about having two loving parents. I'm in no wise saying a homosexual couple isn't capable of extending just as much love as a heterosexual couple; I'm saying that in this case, if they CHOOSE the lifestyle, they need to realize there are certain restrictions that NATURE imposes upon them. And that is the ability to procreate. Therefore that should preclude them from having the option to adopt out of selflessness; for the emotional well-being of the child.

I don't think God would be particularly pleased with it because it is in essence promoting a sin, because at some point they will probably have sex with each other. To me it's the same as a mother and father committing robberies and raising a child together. They are showing that child a wrong lifestyle. This is not meant as a knock on gay people. If someone states they're gay, and try to abstain from sex with someone of the same sex then they are not sinning. I also believe it is possible for someone that says they're gay to go to Heaven and I also don't believe people that are gay are worse than me. I sin just like everyone else. Now if two people of the same sex are raising an abandoned child together than I believe God would see nothing wrong with that.

God does not say a word, in the world before modern medicine, many children did not survive infantcey, so the idea of gay folks raising a child must have been a very rare occurance.

However, if you believe that god created us, then he created gays as well. and I think that they have an advantage over straight parents. They are used to tantrums and many have been putting powder on sore bottoms for years.. lol.

The only problem with gay parents are children of bigoted parents when the kids start to go to school... think about it, we are not the most open society after all are we.

God, err, the Bible doesn't say much about parenting anywhere, contrary to the Family Values people, and what is said is in the Old Testament, where the advice is so simplistic, it could fit on a wallet card. Love is never mentioned. Beating your children is. Granted, it is said in the hope of raising respectful children, but it makes the Great Santini look like Shari Lewis.

However, psychologically, it's better to have 2 loving parents than to have a string of foster homes, regardless of the parents' gender.

I would suggest that before you worry about what God supposedly says about it (although I doubt there is anything definitive in the biblie) you educate yourself about the reality of foster care. It is generally not a pleasant expwerince for children and many of them are sexually abused. To me it is a sin to let a childhood waste away in a situation like that when there are loving homes available.

I'm atheist so it wouldn't matter to me. I just wanted to say that I am thinking about carrying a baby for 2 very good gays friends. I would be artifically inseminated by one and then let the other adopt the baby when he/she is born. I would be the baby's godmother. I'm 28 and don't want kids of my own so I really would like to do this.

LOL a demon spawn. you're quite feisty so as which could be suitable yet you being gay received't make your new child a demon. Who cares why you're gay. you're a human being and that is all that ought to count number number to different individuals.
