God is the author of the Bible. He let you know what He expects from you and He gave you a choice. Life doesn't revolve around the depressing things. Live can be gloriously wonderful if you make the right decision.

The bible talks about doomsday, yes.
But it's not a doomsday book, it's a book of love, forgivness, and mercy.
See God knows what will happen, but it was never His plan for anyone to go to Hell. He just knew that some would choose to do that. And the earth isn't going to be destroyed, if you read Daniel, Revelation and some of Paul's letters to the church, you see that the earth will be transformed to something new and better.
The only people the bible speaks doomsday to is unbelievers and those who follow satan and his angels.
God loves you very much and He wants to have a relationship with you----if you let Him.

What and who was he misinterpreting if it is the case that some of the writers of the bible were doing that?
We are free to believe or reject the knowledge that sin in our lives separates us from God, and to repent of it and accept salvation through faith in Jesus knowing that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Prophesy is a way for people to know and be prepared for what is to come. Knowing that the end is coming creates a sense of urgency about life and signs pointing to the nearness of the end of time that fulfill prophesy make people take notice of God.

Ahem. People speak of "the" Bible as if there's only one holy book. Whoa. There are dozens. The Baghavad Gita. The Holy Qu'ran. The Book of Mormon. Dianetics. Science and Health. The Analects of Confucius. The Egyptian Books of the Dead. The Upanishads. Oh, you mean you want us to imagine that there's only *one* Bible? LOL. Get a life, guys. Open your eyes and look at reality.

I believe that the Bible is true. True and inspired Word of God. It is very clear about the way to the Father's house. Only by the mercy and grace of God, we just need to accept it. And when we accept it, we also want to do good. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. If you want to be with God after this short period here, Let Him know that you are coming when it is the time. It is that simple..it is not an easy way, but very simple.

Given your opening statement, I have to wander what, exactly, it is you do believe in. God, spirituality and Karma aren't the same things at all.
I believe the Bible to be God's inspired Word, meaning I believe He directed it to be written just the way it is. Yes, there may be flaws or mistakes in it, i.e. interpreted incorrectly, grammatical errors but those would be human errors not Godly errors. But given the amount of ancient text we have supporting each Book of the Bible, what God wanted in there, is in there.
We are given the book of Revelation as a warning and as a sign of what is to come. Your question..........what's the point? seems to me the question you really want answered here. The point is we are each given so much time here on earth to do what we will, good or bad. Eternity begins for us the moment we were born. We, by our choices, will choose where we are going to spend the greater amount of time given to us. Yes, God knows how it's going to turn out and you want to know why He bothered. He bothered because He loves us that much. Enough to give us free will. Do we really want to worship a God who would force us to love Him? Wouldn't that make it a burdensome chore? Think of how you choose to be with certain people. If they demanded your attention, your time, your commitment wouldn't you soon find yourself avoiding them? God lets us make that same choice. But He loves us enough to tell us what will happen if we make the wrong choice. God doesn't want automated robots. He wants us to freely choose to love Him, just as He freely chose to die on the cross for us. The nails didn't keep Him on that cross, love did.
And, if things are getting worse, maybe we could postpone the worst by following His directives, to love one another as He loved us. Not a bad thing to strive for, is it? We have no idea how one small seed planted could actually start an epidemic of kindness somewhere.

Reality check. Is the predictions already on us? As for me, it is already and the climate is changing at the phase that the scientist could not ignore... the predictions are a reality now and it is for us to heed it to repent. We should do all that we can do to save the world. As from my information, 50 years is the lifespan which would make the world chaotic.

Because at the end it will be much like the days before the Flood. Those who will be here will be wicked, and their wickedness will reach such a great level that the Lord will no longer tolerate it and will put an end to it.

First, Satan who used to be one of God's most powerful angels(a cherubim) chose by his free-will to disobey God. Then a third of the angels chose by their free-will to join Satan in his rebellion and disobey God by their free-will. Then Satan tempted Eve and Adam and Eve and Adam chose by their free-will to disobey God, and so has every human since. God cursed the ground and limited human's life span. One reason is that people lived for 900 years, then there would be a lot of sins and their punishment would be great, but God limited our lifespans. Also, those who choose God don't have to wait so long to go to Heaven and we don't have to deal with temptation very long. There are a lot of other reasons too that God knows. Death and suffering are the results of our sin against God. Sin has a lot of bad consequences. For example, if a person chooses to murder someone, then that negatively affects the victim and the victim's family. But without free-will, love would be rendered meaningless. If God forced us to love Him, then it wouldn't be real love, so He gave us free-will, the ability to choose either to respond to Him or to reject Him. He enables us to love Him if we choose to respond to Him. www.equip.org
