Wax, and wax only!! When you shave you can cut and tear your skin and it dries out the area. Most of my clients have no pain from underarm waxing, and for those that do well it is worth it. After just one wax you will notice that the hair has grown back less and because it grows in stages you will never again have a dark shadow that shaving causes. Once you have had it done a few times you can actually let the hair grow a fair bit before you need it done again as it becomes so sparse.

-Plucking is tedious and too hard to get the right position on yourself.
-Shaving works if you have relative smooth underarms and you don't mind doing it constantly
-Waving, this is my preference. Once a few weeks, quick and easy. Only thing is the week or so you have to remember not to lift your arms while you wait for the hair to fully grown in again.

With hair growing in so many directions and the uneven surface, I would always cut myself shaving, get ingrown hairs, and a shadow at the end of the next day. Once you irritate yourself it's painful to shave. Waxing solved all these issues. I'd suggest try shaving for a few weeks, see how it works for you. If you find yourself getting cut, rashes, etc..wait to heal then go get waxed.

don't pluck!!! gross...i guess you could wax..but for the less painful way shave. for a good close shave use a venus razor with a moisturizing strip. that way your skin won't get raw.

You should definantly shave it.

If you pluck it will hurt really bad, it's just not worth it.
