Not necessarily. If I am truly in love with her, I think we could find a way to work out of it. If she is horribly in debt, and uncontrollably buys more stuff that she doesn't need, then I might think twice. I would want her to be a good wife, and do what's best for our kids, and if we're constantly in debt, I don't think our kids would have a very good chance of having a good life. That's only a very extreme situation, and I would think we could work it out, no matter what. I would even be willing to work two full time jobs, if it meant clearing the debt, and a good environment for my kids.

Well, Honestly, what I would ask is how big her debt is? Does she gamble? Is it a financial problem that is difficult to fix? Is my salary i'm getting gonna be able to help her fix her problem? Will she get into debt again and take advantage of me? These are very important questions I would ask. If the answers are reasonable and I think she's a decent girl, there should be no problem getting involved or settling down with her. Hope that helps. Take care.

being with or settling with someone shouldn't involve other matters, except for the two person involved and how they feel about each other...

If the financial problem is a case, then why not say about what skin colour they are, where they come from, their parents, their friends or what education they have...

If all those are considered, then you start to judge the person by it's cover... why not just look at a book's cover and rate it then?

hope I got the point across... :)

I would check it out, but I believe that all financial issues when you get married become community property including debts.

It wouldn't bother me at all. It's HER debt. It's not like I'm going to pay it for her.
