Don't worry. He can't make babies.
That's the purpose of having him neutered in the first place.

Dogs hump to display dominance over another dog; it's nothing sexual. As for the erections; I honestly don't know why neutered dogs get them. I suppose it's just one of those things that happens without any desire on the dog's part.

All the neutering does is cuts of his testicles and makes him unable to reproduce, this does not mean his hormones and penis are gone. He can still have abilities, they just normally dont have as strong urges. Though some dogs are much more interested then others.

I have a dog that has been neutered, and he still tries to screw the neighbor dog. Just because their fixed doesn't mean that they won't still try.

When human males get sterilized, its not the end of their sex life. Its not like they do anything different for dogs. He's shooting blanks but he's still capable of going through the motions.
