I know someone who only takes 25mg per day and I know someone else that takes 1600mg per day. It depends on your condition on how much you are prescribed. Just make sure you listen to your doctor and don't stop taking it without his/her knowledge.

this is a very high dose. you should seek doctors advice but it is a very high side effect drug. you can get involuntary movements from this drug that does not go away till many months after taking it. i know cause i was taking about the same amount as you were. It caused me to have problems with my blood pressure bottoming out and I was rushed to the hospital numerous times. Nearly scared my parents to death. My doctor finally took me off it and put me on depakote and it seems to be doing me a better job. I had to change doctors to get this done but it worked and I am doing much better. Also seroquel will make you gain weight or keep the weight on you if you are trying to lose weight.

No there's no distinction. I take (4) 200mgs each and all the time. only subject is you ought to only take a optimal of 800mgs an afternoon, taking anymore could reason liver injury. that still applies to taking the (a million) 800mg ibuprofen. So be careful

based on my experience, yes, this does seem like quite a high dose. I am supposed to take 400mg a day - 100 am and 300 pm, however, I only take 100mg pm to help me sleep. For me, seroquel knocks me out quite quickly, normally within 1/2 hr of taking it, so I can only imagine how hard it must be for you to be functioning on such high doses. But, as everyone else has said, follow your dr's directions, and if you are concerned, speak to your prescribing dr.

Yes, it is. 800 mg total per day is where seroquel is generally topped out from any research I ever found on it. But please do not stop takign it or change your dose without speaklign to the prescriber. If you are not confident in your doctors abilities you should seek a secodn opinion always.

I do admit that seems like a high dose and I would ask your doctor about that, but doseage goes by so many criteria. Like for me, I take a bigger doseage of depakoe than that. Its because I'm an ex-drug addict and I've built super high tolerances to the drug. Also, everyones system is different and maybe that is yours. Please ask your doctor if your dose isn't a bit high? Its got to leave you really out-of-it all the time and you don't want to live like that.

I would ask your pharmacist what he recommends for your age and if it's different call the doc as some docs over prescribe.

sounds like a awful lot of medicine to be taking. if this is what your doc prescribed, he knows what's best for you.
