All of my friends say they want a boyfriend at this age but I don't really feel ready to date yet. My friend says that she can't date until she is 16 but she has had a boyfriend when she was 8, so how could that be??? Do you think I will ever feel ready to date???

Precious, you have a life time to be grown, but only a short amount of time to be a child and even shorter to be a teenager. Don't worry yourself about boys/ girls or anything but having plenty of fun. Take it from me, I was a teenage mother since I was 14

Don't give in to pressure from your friends. Date when you feel you are ready (yes, you will feel ready someday).
I dated only a few times in my teens (and not until I was 17) and never had a steady. The only real girlfriend I've ever had is my wife. Now we've been married 15 years!
Take your time. Find out who YOU are first. Then you'll be more ready to find out who is best for you.

14 is a good time to start. It is better then 8. U will feel ready when the time comes. Is there a certain guy that u like and wish u could date? It all starts there.

I personally am against dating before I'm at least 16, but that's just me. Some people don't date until they're out of high school, just because that's what they feel comfortable with. You'll know when you're ready to date, no matter when that might be. Everyone's different, and that's totally okay.

you seem to have a good firm head on your young shoulders and im glad that you are doing your own thing and not dating at 14 which is far to young,just go and live your life and dont feel pressured to do something that you know your not ready for,go have fun and yes ther will come a time in the future when you will be ready to date but plse dont do something that you wll regret later in life,good luck and just enjoy life.

every girl is different and some girls like boys faster than some other girls. dont worry its all a part of life. your not alone my friend who is like 16 dosent like anyboys and i'm 13 and and i like a boy and i dated a guy when i was 10 it just dependes on the girl when she'll be ready to like a guy.

u can d8 when eva u want...d8 when ur 8...d8 when ur 28...i dont tink that there is a universal d8ing age. I mean if we all d8ed when we were 14 every1 will b gettin knocked up by 18...i mean my bro has bin d8ing since he was 13...me since 11...some of my friends, who r 14, arent d8ing yet...its just when eva ur ready...dont b pushed by your friends...you'll no when!

you can date when your 14 but it wont go anywhere. im nearly 16 and i dont relaly date that many girls (not that i dont want to or im ugly or anything, i just dont see the point if i know we are going to break up eventually anyways)
