I felt weak, but I did not faint.

I was walking and suddenly I felt like fainting, but I didn't. My blood sugar and my blood pressure are fine. This happens for few seconds at a time, but goes away soon after. I get these episodes mabey once or twice a month. Then, a month or so may pass until I get another reoccurence.

the question is what happened before you started to feel weak and feel like fainting.

Fainting, which is also called syncope, can be related to many different things. More than one thing may be the cause of fainting. Sometimes a specific cause for fainting can't be found.

Fainting can happen when not enough oxygen flows through your blood and into your brain. You lose consciousness, or "pass out," for a very brief time -- just a few seconds or minutes.

A sudden drop in your blood pressure can cause you to faint. Sometimes your heart rate and blood vessels can't react fast enough when your body's need for oxygen changes.

I found some definitions on low blood sugar, and low blood pressure - but if you continue to feel weak, whether or not you actually faint, I would see a doctor and get it checked.

Symptoms of low blood sugar:
Sweating (almost always present). Check for sweating on the back of your neck at your hairline.
Nervousness, shakiness, and weakness.
Extreme hunger and slight nausea.
Dizziness and headache.
Blurred vision.
A fast heartbeat and feeling anxious.
These symptoms may go away shortly after you eat food that contains sugar. Orange juice is good if you have it on hand.

Low blood pressure is when the blood pressure (the pressure of the blood against the walls of the blood vessels during and after each beat of the heart) is much lower than usual. It can cause symptoms such as:

dizziness or lightheadedness.

Another common type of low blood pressure is orthostatic hypotension, which is brought on by a sudden change in body position, usually when shifting from lying down to standing upright.

I hope this helps.....

you didn't explain when it happens. Does it happen when you get up, sitting down walking around or anything? So the only thing I can say with little info is.... Watch you suger intake. Or if your not getting enough sugar. What about your blood pressure? How is that doing? Now you understand what I mean!!! I can't help you if you don't print the right info.
All else fails, go see your doctor.

Possibly low blood. You need to go to a doctor. I was walking around with low blood and almost had to get a blood transfusion. The doctor gave me 3 days to hone up on my iron pills and they worked. Don't start taking iron pills though, go see a doctor. I just got a new co-worker in my ofc and she was complaining of being tired and actually crying her 1st day on the job. We advised she go to the hosp. & was admitted. She had to have 3 transfusions - total 6 pints of blood. she was at a 2 and would have died in her sleep if she didn't go to the hosp. At the time I went, I was losing a lot of blood (female problems). Go to the doctor.

I have low blood pressure and feel faint if I've been crouching down, and get up too quickly. Is that when it happens for you? I don't think it's anything serious, but you just have to remember it when getting up, and just do it slower.

If you had not eaten anything in a long time it just means you need to eat something. It could also mean you just stood up too fast. If neither of those were true and this happens frequently you should see a doctor, because it could mean you have a problem with a heart valve or something.
