I will answer your second question first. Yes, absolutely doves can live in tropical places. (by the way Florida and Hawaii arent really tropical, they are above the Tropic of Cancer.

Some other tropical birds are parrots, antpittas, motmots, tangara tanagers, and many many many others. Ecuador alone has over 1,500 species of birds!
