I have dandruff that isn't too bad but it is still bad, i hate it because when it shows people ask me what it is and i am embarassed, i usually wash my hair once a week, because i have no time. so i wash it in the weekends. by wednesday, thursday and friday it shows. I put my hair up in a ponytail every day cause it easy, but the dandruff shows. There is definetly a lot of it what should i do to eliminate my dandruff or make the situation much better.( washing my hair everyday isn't an option). just to let you know i take a bath EVERYDAY.

I can't wash my hair everyday, because i have long hair, maybe like more than 12 inches but i am growing it so that i can get long layers, but washing it and blow-drying it takes about 3 hours so i don't have time!

Hi!
Head and Shoulders everyone says!!!!!!?
OK, I guess.
You really would be better off by far if you were to use POLYTAR.
Go to Boots the Chemist and ask an assistant for POLYTAR. Do not be concerned by the fact that it will not be on the same shelf as the Head & Shoulders and other shampoo's.
To my knowledge there is no conditioner available with this brand, though in the Trade there is one with the Australian equivalent.
Polytar is a shampoo that will really really soften your hair and destroy dandruff. Do try to wash your hair twice a week.
Best wishes,
Phillipa

Nizarol shampoo 2 to 3 times a week. You may have to wash your hair a little more often. At the very least wash it twice a week. If you're short on time, wash it at night and let it dry. Since you put it in a ponytail letting it dry overnight shouldn't be a problem. The shampoo is a bit expensive about $12 but it really works. I used to get it by prescription, but now it's over-the-counter and it's the best. I promise if you use it 2 to 3 times a week you won't have problems. Good luck.

Use Head & Shoulders or Selsun Blue. You could also try combing your hair from your scalp (like scratching it) all the way down to the tips for 100 strokes a day.
If you have time for a bath every day, you should have the time to wash your hair at the same time. Baths take long while washing your hair takes no more than 15 minutes. You can even do it in the sink in the evening in less time. You probably (hopefully) sleep a few hours a night, take out 15 minutes of that every day to wash your hair.

You don't have to wash your hair everyday to help get rid of dandruff. There are shampoos and daily scalp treatments you can try. I don't like recommending brands so I will suggest you go to your local drugstore and find the ones they carry. Ask any sales associate to tell you which is their best seller in the store. That will give you a clue as to the one that has the best efficacy.

I would try a tea tree shampoo and conditioner ....If you have ethnic hair no of course you wouldn't wash it every day ...but once a week is not enough ...no less than every 3 days ....you can also try applying an oil to your scalp like a carrot oil or jojoba ...You problem is that your hair is not allowing your scalp to breath ...so make sure you really focus on massaging your scalp when shampooing and do 2 shampoos ...

Use head and shoulders shampoo, if it doesn't work then you might want to try blue soap, i know that it wont leave your hair smelling good but after washing it with the blue soap you can apply some conditioner of your preference. Good luck.

Aveda has products that work wonders, Scalp Benefits Shapoo and Conditioner, and Scalp Remedy (a leave-in product). When you shampoo be sure to massage you scalp. Your conditioner doesn't have to go on the scalp, just the ends. Good luck!

definetely head and shoulders dandruff shampoo works.
after a week it should be fine...
you have to shower daily because your scalp tends to build up oil and will be very dry. also, dont scratch your head if it itches because that makes it worse.

HEAD AND SHOULDERS for your specific hair. There are many types now. I'm sure there is one that can help you. There is no need to spend a fortune for a shampoo.
