What are your thoughts on dating online or online personals?

it's a good way to chat and pass time but not a good way to find love i don't think.
i'm an in person type of girl and i like to see people's reactions and body language to certain things and questions.
i mean sure my bf and i started talking online but not on a dating site. my friend had moved down to live with him and he saw some of my comments about how i wanted to come visit and then messaged me and was checking to see if i was "cool" enough to hang around. guess they had a problem of dumb b!tches coming down all the time.
then i came down. got invited to stay as a roommate. now we're dating. perhaps considered online dating perhaps not.

If you want to, go ahead. If you dont, then dont. I think its ok at times, but if i date online, i make sure i know the person a month before i do. Heck, who knows who's out there
