ive had anxiety issues all my life, and every time someone talks to me about anything relating to anxiety i start to cry? i used to go to a psych and i hardly spoke because every time i thought what to say i teared up, and i go to a new one and i talk now, but i do the same thing...? my teachers are interfering with my life and asking me about the issue, and i tear up when they ask. when i dont have anything to occupy my time and im forced to simply think i always ALWAYS drift to this problem and i cry myself to sleep. i know it sounds like im asking for attention but im really not, i truly dont know if the crying thing is a mental issue or not? is there anything out there that stops you from crying? cause its really getting annoying

yeah, tried the diary thing... besides the (yougotit) crying during writing, my INSANE mother tends to find (correction: jump-over-mountains to find) these things, which does wonders for the little paranoia problem i have.

Sounds like you might need an anti-depressant.....talk to your doctor.

Crying is really from your subconscious. I grew up crying all the time, and as an adult I hardly ever cry. I have been in therapy on and off for years. I suggest you go to therapy and cry as much as you need to, if you have a good therapist then they will continue to work with you until you can get past the crying and find the real issue. Everyone has a child side to them, and yours has something to say. Get a good therapist and find out so you can put this behind you and lead a more "normal" life. Good luck and you will be fine - just don't give up!

Crying is just a form of emotional release and isn't really a problem in and of itself. The fact that you are regularly crying is just a sign your body/mind is giving you that there is something that needs to be worked out. If you are seeing a doctor, then maybe once you get to the root of your issues, the crying frequency will resolve. Just keep talking to your doctor and sharing your feelings. Our bodies can be like steam cookers sometimes and when things build to a boil, we have to constantly let off steam, or in your case cry. Working through your problems should help. Good luck.

usually when you have an anxiety disorder it is common to have depression along with it. kinda goes together. you need to find that underlying issue that's making you feel so sad. sometimes you need to take meds because there is a chemical imbalance. the best thing to do though is to talk with your doctor, i found it very hard to talk without crying at first so what i did was wrote everything down and let my therapist read it, from there we talked about what i wrote and it helped a lot. good luck to you and i hope this helps you.

I think you should tell the therapist you see, and if you dont think you can spit it out because youll cry write it down to show them, there advice would be far better for this as they are professionals. I had this problem at an extremely stressful time in my life but it seems to have passed, i think i was jus so overwhelmed with feelings i couldnt communicate them on top of letting them out.

I cry when i talk about my past and causes of my stress disorder. It is normal. It is a stresser. It is a good way to get things out. Talking more and more helps the crying cease. Just keep talking. Also, you could write, or journal. It gives me the same effect, but I do not cry.

A good therapist can help you but do not know where to find one. See site below for things to relax you and help you to deal with anxiety naturally. If you work at it, you can be more calm and peaceful than most people around you.

Tell your psychologist about your fear of talking about things because of crying. She or he will turn out to be surprisingly understanding, and not think that you are trying to ask for attention. I thought my psychologist would think that of me, and I would hold back when talking to her, but she noticed it and asked me about it, and when I told her she said that she didn't think I was seeking attention at all.

I don't know why people always recommend anti-depressants for anxiety, the best drugs that work for me are xanax and valium.
