Sometimes parents have not learned how to effectively deal with their anger. It may not be you at all. It could be that she is angry something completed unrelated (she's unhappy with her life). You have to figure out a way to not let it get to you. My father yelled at me all through my childhood and I grew up to be very angry at him. So, the anger continued. When your mother is not mad, you need to tell her how it makes you feel when she yells. Oftentimes, parents don't realize the damage they are doing until it is too late.

Probably because talking in her regular voice accomplishes nothing. Generally parents have to yell because kids do not listen the first 7 times when told to do something.

This answer comes from my own experience.

she's probabley confused by how her kid is growing up and doesn't know how to deal, so she yells. this just shows she cares for you and loves you and is concerned with what happens to you.
