Because they are seeking the truth, They have tried the Bible, it failed to provide the answers they needed. So they tried reinterpreting it and even rewriting it, but that still did not work.
So they come to the Atheist section of YA (because that is what this is) and Lo and behold the scales fall from their eyes as the truth is finally revealed to them.
I get a quiet satisfaction from quoting the bible to a Christian, without revealing the source, then when they call it a load of garbage, giving them the source.
Petty I know but it beats shoplifting :-)

The way it was best described to me is that Christianity is a form of spirituality that has been adopted by many of the worlds major religions (Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Lutheranism and other protestants, the weird ones that fit somewhere in the middle, the totally unassociated ones, etc.). While there there is a stronger emphasis on an individual's relationship with God in the Christian spirituality than in most others, that doesn't alter the fact that it is still a mainly spiritual experience, hence its classification in "Religion & Spirituality".

Christianity is a relationship but it is also a religion. Some people just don't know what they are talking about or want to make it sound cute when they say "its not a religion, it's simply the truth." Nobody knows for sure if it is the truth, that why it is called FAITH.

Well you are as misguided as those that told you that. Christianity is a religion, the true one and a relationship.

Because to people that dont think it is the truth they see it as ether, a cult or religion.

Science is not the discovery of truth but of fact. The last part of you "question" is not worth the time.

Shouldn't ever be in the science section - science is about facts, not truth.

Whether someone regards Christianity as a religion or not, they wont argue that it is indeed their Spirituality.
