I agree with you completely. Yes it is a human interpretation of God's word. what tends to happen is that people go to church and hear a sermon that says "The bible is God's word, written by God" and then they go repeat it over and over to everyone they meet. The truth is that you wouldn't normally come to that conclusion if you read it by yourself, because it doesn't say that in the text of the bible. AND There are mistranslations and contradictions whether people will admit it or not. Its just a phrase perpetuated by the people who put the books of the bible together.

The Bible “is inspired of God.” (2Â Timothy 3:16) Men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit. (2Â Peter 1:21) To illustrate: A businessman might have a secretary write a letter. That letter contains the businessman’s thoughts and instructions. Hence, it is really his letter, not the secretary’s. In a similar way, the Bible contains God’s message, not that of the men who wrote it down. So, the entire Bible truthfully is from God 1Â Thessalonians 2:13.
It was written over a 1,600-year period. Its writers lived at different times and came from many walks of life. Some were farmers, fishermen, and shepherds. Others were prophets, judges, and kings. The Gospel writer Luke was a doctor. Despite the varied backgrounds of its writers, the Bible is harmonious from beginning to end.
The Bible is also scientifically accurate. It has information that was far ahead of its time. for example, at a time when there were wrong ideas about the shape of the earth, the Bible referred to it as a circle, or sphere. (Isaiah 40:22) The Bible accurately said that the earth ‘hangs on nothing.’ (Job 26:7)
Because the Bible is inspired of God, it is “beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight.” (2Â Timothy 3:16)

Yes, humans do make mistakes, but God doesn't and He got the right people to do the job for Him. The people who wrote the Bible were chosen by God. He knew they would do it right and He was able to inspire them and give them what they needed to make it accurate. You also need to keep in mind that this was a different place and time. I know it's hard to understand how God works through people unless it's happened to you, but I believe that there are people that can be closer to God then others. Elijah was such a great follower of God that God took him to Heaven before death. The ones that did follow God were able to keep a strong bond and they could hear Him like we can hear our parents calling us to dinner. I have faith that God put the right people in place to give us the lessons and rules for a good life.

The Bible was written by men under the inspiration of the holy spirit, which makes it the word of God. They were infallible.

When man wrote the Bible he made sure to say it was God's word, and that it was divinely inspired. Gullible people from then til now have believed that somehow had to be true.
This answer was divinely inspired.

Human interpretation?
NO, that's reserved for other religions that try to supercede the ONLY book written by the hand of G*d, The BIBLE.
They all try to COPY the Bible, but it's the real thing. Please don't get so corny next time.

God is not in the form of man, does not have arms, does not write, so he must write through others...aka man.

Well, replace (Bible) with any other sacred text -- there are hundreds of them. And they were all written by people, and, mostly, men.
