No, in America, God is money. We all recite "there is no God but Dollar" five times a day.

American money doesn't have a picture of God on it. Nor does it have a picture of the Pope. Or a picture of the Baptist Grand Wizard.
When Jesus said that we was looking at a coin that had an image of Caesar on it.
As for the words "In God We Trust" that is only to placate God, and in no way means anything.

America is based on a Christian foundation and on the money it proves that America built it's Government on the statement on American currency. IN GOD WE TRUST ! No God is not Caesar !! Two different subjects , completely.

the actual quote was....."render unto caesar what is caesar's, and to God what is God's"
he meant you have to pay caesar his taxes,,, but there are many more important things that you reserve for God only.
and when there is a choice between God and the government, you need to put God first...and the God will provide anything that the government doesn't
so when we say In god we trust, we are acknowledging that god has priority in our lives, and that we entrust ourselves, and our government to his protection.
so god is god,.....and the governement is governement
