A pepper inside a pepper?

A couple of times when I have cut up bell peppers to cook, there have been little peppers inside the big ones, attached to the stem. I wasn't aware that peppers grow inside peppers, so I was wondering what this was all about.

yea, i had that happen to me before too,
its perfectly normal and fine to eat both!
you just got a bonus :)
