Actually it be the year of the rupture if Government spending doesn't stop or taxes go up.

You actually have a better chance of the following disasters this year:
Major California Quake
Volcanic explosion in Pacific Northwest
Tsunami hitting the US East Coast
Tsunami hitting West Coast and/or Hawaii
Gulf Stream flow change
Killer Flu
Terrorist attack on LA
Terrorist Dirty Bomb in NYC/DC
Food chain disease contaminating major grain crops
Bird Flu mutates and takes out several million Americans

As mentioned, we will not know the day nor the hour, but Christ has told us to be ever watchful and on our guard. Even if the end doesn't come in our lifetime, our death sure will - and being prepared for our death is just like preparing for the end of the world - we receive a personal judgment after our death, and there will be the General Judgment at the end of time.

St. Paul tells us not to worry, and to live our lives consistently and with faith, being ever ready to give an account of our lives to God. We shouldn't be so concerned about the world ending, as much as we ought to live with our hearts and minds centered on God.

So personally, given that Christ said we won't know the day nor the hour, and the day will come on us unawares, I assume it will be at a time that we least expect it. So I don't bother worrying about it. The book of Revelation will give us clues as they come, but I don't think we will necessarily understand these clues until the events have already occurred, are occurring, or just about to occur.

I think it was in 1987 when a breach of peace occured in all Christain fundamentalist congregations, specifically such that it caused the tearing apart of certain social;organizations and a breaking apart of Christiandom, broken apart as in a hernia of intellectual curiousty.

It won't ever come - it's a nonsense, non-biblical, belief that no Christian held until the early 1800s.

Now the Last Judgment is another story - no one knows, not even the angels, not even Jesus.

If this were a question that could be answered it would be by the one who said it was coming and no one other than the one.

It wouldn't be right for us to even try to guess because Jesus said it's not for us to know.
