Well some one today told me that it the possible reason why the Europeans conquered and killed off most of the Native Americans was because the Native Americans didn't have GOD on their side and the Europeans did! Do people know why it's so much religious conflict in the world because of this thinking! And they think Atheist are crazy!!!

The Europeans were able to conquer the Native Americans because the Europeans had horses and guns. They also had germs that Native Americans didn't have - most Native Americans died of disease, not war with Europeans. Read Jared Diamond's "Gun Germs and Steel" to learn more about why some cultures were able to conquer others. It had nothing to do with religion.

Of course people who are religious think their religion is right. If you thought your religion is wrong, why would you believe in it? Why waste your time? The problem is not people who think their religion is correct (that's just basic logic - not all religions can be correct - Jesus either rose from the dead or he didn't, Mohammed spoke with an angel or he didn't - we can't all be right!). The problem are the people who think that others should be killed because of their religious beliefs, or because of their national origin, or whatever.

But there's a huge chasm between saying "My religion is correct and it logically follows that other people have incorrect religious beliefs" and saying "people with incorrect religious beliefs should be killed." You know, humans are capable of disagreeing about major religious issues without resorting to violence - it happens every day.

If only one was right then the others should be clearly wrong and not followed.
Fundamentally, the message in almost all religions is the same -
an exhortation to lead a 'good' life; which many people do without the need for religion.

Most religions have the same basic purpose, only differing in how they see things.
In that light, I'd say there is no "correct" one. People invent their own realities.

St. Paul begs the early Christians to be unified in mind and in what they say. There can only be one "true" Christian Church. How can the Holy Spirit guide the Catholic Church, the Lutheran Church, the Presbyterian Church, the Baptist Church, etc. if all of those denominations have doctrines and beliefs differing from each other? There is only one interpretation of the Bible. Otherwise, people can and have "read" literally anything into It.

.>>>>>The papacy is the oldest Intuition in the world .- How could it survived without the grace of God & the guidance of the Holy Spirit.........The Holy Spirtit did not convert to Islam in 610AD or Lutheranism in 1517AD or Calvinism in 1540s AD ...There's no comparisions..

Different religions and belief systems differ drastically on fundamental ideas. For example, some religions say that God exists, some religions say he doesn't. Logically, since religions contradict each other like this, they can't all be right on all subjects. All we can do is work out which is the one that gets stuff right. Either one of the existing religions/belief systems has stuff right, or there's another, as-yet described reality. But logic won't allow you to believe more than one. If you believe anything, logically you have to choose one religion/belief system.

To be fair, ALL people think their beliefs are more right than the alternatives - that's why they stick with them.

It's how they treat those other people, and how they regard the other beliefs, that gives you an insight into what they're really like. The fact that you absolutely believe something that someone else doesn't isn't a good reason to decide you have to attack them, verbally or physically, or for you to think you're inately better than them.

Religion is the problem because it has been written by man. God is not the problem he gave us life. No one will win the debate on the true voice of god because that voice has been lost thought religion. God speaks to everyone if they have the heart and holy spirit to understand. Hating someone religion is not the solution to anything excepting others and respecting others os the only soulution.

because people tend to completely twist the teachings of their religion to promote the hate that they have brewing inside of them. people don't like things that are different from them, and it's a real shame that people contort their peaceful religions to teach violence. if only people really followed the teachings of their religions, than the world would be a peaceful place.

Unfortunately, every time Christianity does something heinous, they claim they were right because god was on their side. They honestly don't see the conflict in that statement.
