We are trying to decide whether or not to put tile flooring in a room that has a pool table in it.

There is a good chance it will crack or break a ceramic floor. But, I have played pool for a while and have only had one ball (the cue ball) fly off the table. I think you will be fine with ceramic, if you so chose.

i wouldnt - dropping a ball onto ceramic tile flooring wouldnt break or crack the ball (it might mark it) but it stands a good chance of breaking the tile!
