Mac OS X is by far better than windows, if you know how to use it. Unfortunately, many people are accustomed to Windows, and dont want to change. I have windows xp, and it sucks. unfortunately this is a family computer and i dont have the money to just go buying operating systems in my spare time. so, basically, mac os x is the best, but only if youre ready for it...

1, Windows Pro
Hardcore stable OS with Microsoft Office already installed.

2,I would pick Windows Media Center edition for the media/burning/watching features.

3. Sability, security, price, compadability with external devices, or software.

4,Windows Media Center, burning a cd is very very easy as well as DVDs.

5, Security holes in the Internet Explorer

I prefer Macs, so would recommend OSX.4, or "Tiger". They are coming out with a new system soon.
